Approximate time to set up: 4 Minutes

Go the start menu and select the "Connect to" menu and choose "Show all connections." [Or in classic view, go to the Control Panel and select "Network Connections"] In the network tasks area select "Create a new connection" to start the New Connection Wizard.

Click "Next" on the first screen of the wizard. Then make sure the first option is selected in the next dialog "Connect to the Internet" and click "Next." Now select the "Set up my connection manually" option and click "Next." Now make sure "connect using a dial-up modem" is selected and click "Next."

You should now be at a screen asking for the ISP Name, enter "CCIL" and click "Next." The next screen asks for a phone number, enter the main ccil number "610-431-2839" or your local access number then click "Next."

You will now be asked for your ISP account information. This is the username and password that you were given when you created your account. Enter this information in the form, you will need to enter your password twice. You can either share the CCIL account for all users on your computer or have dialup access only available for the user you are currently using. If you want everyone that has an account on your computer to have access, leave the option checked, otherwise uncheck it. If you want CCIL as your default Internet Connection, check that option. You should not need the Internet Connection Firewall, but you may keep this option checked. Once this form is complete, click "Next."

You can now choose to put a shortcut to CCIL on your desktop. If you do, then you can access CCIL by clicking on the shortcut, otherwise you will have to go through the "Connect to" option on the start menu. Once you have made the choice to place it on your desktop click "Finish."

Whenever you want to connect to the Internet from now on, all you need to do is double-click on the CCIL icon that was placed on the desktop.
