General Overview
In order to provide improved service to CCIL users, PPP service is now available. To get connected with this service, you will need to make either a new configuration or modify your existing configuration for graphical access.
A Word of Caution
Volunteers have tested the PPP system and did not experience any problems. Please note, however, that all instructions are general in nature, and may not reflect your exact situation. CCIL is not be responsible for any problems the instructions provided may cause to your computer system.
Known Incompatibilities
The only known setup that will not successfully work with the new system applies only to some users of Windows 3.1. Those who have been using a Trumpet Winsock script CCIL provided several years ago will not be able to connect after Sunday, August 20th. For instructions on creating a new script, please click on the "Windows 3.1" link below for instructions.

FAQ
610-431-2839 is not a local number for me, is there another number I can use?
CCIL provides four access numbers depending on your location within Chester County. See the Access Number Listings.
What if doesn't work?
Contact the help desk at 610.431.2673 or email help@ccil.org.
What about dialup text access?
It will continue to be made availible, although plans have been made to upgrade that as well, but this should not result in an interuption of service. You may, however, notice differences in the login and interface. We will announce any major changes before they are made.
Will I still be able to get to the same services as I did when I used Slirp?
Yes. You will still be able to telnet to ccil.org, view web sites, check email, and access any other services you currently do on the Internet. Plus, you will be able to do more with your CCIL connection than before with the improved speed and technology of the new system.
