Chester County is nestled in close proximity to metropolitan areas such as Philadelphia, Washington, DC and New York City. In spite of this it remains surprisingly similar to what it was when William Penn named the place nearly three centuries ago.

Within its boundaries are the famous Longwood Gardens, a number of historic and elegant inns as well as numerous historical markers testifying to its role in the and the civil war (Especially the well known Brandywine Battlefield).

The county is an amalgam of beautiful rolling farmland, wonderfully picturesque old homes, a touch of academia, Quaker simplicity, historic battlefields, fox hunting and a rural charm to be found in few other areas.
