Computer Exchange Project - Chester County Interlink, in conjuction with the West Chester Area School District and other community partners, are helping reallocate used computers back into the community. The targeted recipients are students in the West Chester Area School District and their families that might not otherwise be able to afford such equipment or Internet service. Each computer will be equipped with a free Internet account on CCIL.

We are not equipped to do any clean up or repair work on donated PCs - we think of ourselves as a Plug & Play reallocation operation. Therefore we ask that your donation be ready for immediate use by the eager young minds anxiously waiting to receive it.

We ask that your donated computer meet the following specifications:

• Pentium III or better (500mhz or higher)
• 1 Gig or larger hard drive.
• 3 1/2 inch disk drive
• 16x or faster CD Rom Drive
• 128 meg of RAM
• Win98 or newer operating system

Please, if you are able...

• Locate the Original Operating System CD/Disks.
• Clean and dust off the machine.
• Reinstall software back to factory settings.
• Make sure personal files are deleted.
• Include a matching monitor if available.
• Include speakers and cables if you have them.

Printers
We do accept printers even if they are not part of a system. We are not equipped to do any clean up or repair work on donated printers therefore we ask that your printer be ready for immediate use when connected to a Windows PC.
